Come and visit Anna Paulowna when the flower fields are at its most beautiful. Tulips and hyacinths color the world in this time of the year. During five days there are several mosaics made of the flowers in Anna Paulowna and Breezand: paintings on tempex in which hyacinth nails are pinned. With a participants list and map of the region you drive with the bus, car or bycicle along the mosaics. There are also several activities like markets of arts and/or books.
These official cycle-routes will bring you past some of the mosaics.
Group arrangements in country Hollands Kroon
The mosaics are paintings made on polystyrene, made by sticking pins topped with flower buds into the surface. Every square yard is covered by over 10.000 buds, which gives you a taste of the amount of work that goes into making every single mosaic. Young and old come together during the Flower Days to create the mosaics and display them in their gardens. Take your bicycle, car, or step on board of one of our dedicated buses to see all mosaics. If you collect a list of participators at either our central information point or the information booths you can find along the side of the road during the Flower Days, you can create your own custom route along all the mosaics. Don’t forget that at night the Flower Days are a true spectacle as well, with most mosaics, bridges and streets lit up.
